The Article Page
An editorial read that shifts one belief before it ever sells.
What it actually is
A story-led page that reads like a magazine article, not an ad. It names the problem the way the reader already says it in their head, explains why everything they tried failed, then introduces the product as the obvious conclusion of the story rather than the point of it.
- Price fit
- Mid to high-ticket
- Awareness
- Cold
- Platform
- TikTok, Reels, Meta
Use it when
- +Traffic is cold and arrives with no idea who you are.
- +Your product only makes sense after the reader changes one belief.
- +You have a real mechanism or origin story worth reading.
Skip it when
- –Your buyer already knows the category and just wants the price.
- –You have nothing true to say and would have to invent a story.
- –The offer is a pure impulse buy that needs one scroll, not five.
The structure, in order
Step 01
Hook (the reader's own sentence)
Open with the exact complaint they'd say out loud. No brand, no logo, no product.
Step 02
Why the usual fixes failed
Name two or three things they already tried and explain the real reason each one didn't hold.
Step 03
The belief shift
One idea, stated plainly: the thing they thought was the problem isn't. Here's what actually is.
Step 04
The mechanism
Explain how the fix works in plain language. This is the paragraph that earns the click.
Step 05
Proof
Screenshots, before/after, real reviews, a number you can defend.
Step 06
Soft close
One offer, one button, one reason to act now. Repeat the button every couple of screens.
Headline patterns that work
- “Why your [problem] keeps coming back (and it isn't [popular scapegoat])”
- “I tried [3 things] for [timeframe]. Here's what finally worked.”
- “The [category] mistake almost everyone makes in their first month”
How people get this one wrong
- ×Writing a brand story instead of a reader story.
- ×Burying the mechanism below the fold of paragraph twelve.
- ×One CTA at the very bottom. Put a button everywhere the reader could be convinced.
